Hollywood High School will be on Winter Break from Monday, December 18, 2017 until Friday, January 5, 2018. School will resume on Monday, January 8th, 2018. Have a safe and joyous winter break!

Dear parents, in an effort to keep you informed of parent engagement policies and opportunities to be involved in school events, decisions, and activities, we have mailed the following documents on Thursday, November 30th, 2017:

Please read and submit with your student the tear-off sheet to the parent center, room 404 or the Title 1 Office, room 402.

At approximately 7:30am, a pedestrian was walking on Highland Avenue and collapsed very close to the parking lot gate at Selma Avenue. No students or employees were involved. At approximately 7:50, paramedics arrived, treated pedestrian and transported the pedestrian off campus. Contact Hollywood High School for any additional questions.

The Black History Month Assembly was approved by School Based Management on Monday, November 6, 2017. The assembly will take place on Friday, February 23rd, 2018. We look forward in celebrating and recognizing the accomplishments of the African American culture.

The Hollywood Division Police Department advised Hollywood High School administration to go into lockdown for approximately 10 minutes. The lockdown was lifted at 1:06pm. All students, staff, and employees are safe. School has resumed to normal operation.

The Hollywood High School family members have been very excited to know that The Black Student Union has impacted our school life and culture by celebrating their experience and perspectives in The Hollywood High School family members have been very excited to know that The Black Student Union has impacted our school life and culture by celebrating their experience and perspectives in schoolwide assemblies in the last two years. The LGBT club followed the Black Student Union's footsteps last year when they organized their first School wide LGBT Assembly. The unprecedented impact of both student groups has transcended and inspired other clubs to want to organize assemblies this year to showcase their cultures and interests, and we welcome their enthusiasm to the fullest.
